I also made my way outside and back inside but couldn't get to the library a different way. I backtracked several times and the door is always locked. I'm on the balcony and the door to the library is locked and I don't have a key. I looked all over the internet and it seems to be a known bug. I can't advance past this part of the game, can't get into the library, can't get back to Dorko's Cell because that door is locked, so I'm basically trapped in the castle atrium. I can't find anything that I could have missed both by consulting the walkthroughs and by just wandering around just to see if I missed anything. I consulted a few walkthroughs which all basically say that you can just "walk on through to the main library" but I can't, because it's locked. Some of my older games don't work on windows 7.Īnyway, I made it to the library balcony, raised the chandelier and then headed for the door to the main library only to be told that the door was locked and I don't have a key!
